DelaWARES is an interactive website and digital humanities project that explores the material culture of Delaware to engage anyone interested in the history and culture of the First State. Developed and curated by the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture with support from the University of Delaware and the Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, DelaWARES is a continually evolving hub for publicly facing research and scholarship dealing with how the people of Delaware relate to the things they make, own, build, or use.
Multimedia in DelaWARES is used with the expressed permission of their creators, owners, or other caretakers (for example, a library or archive). Sources are cited in the metadata for each image. For further information about photographs, including requests for reproductions, please contact the listed source directly. Please note that we cannot give the contact information of private individuals, nor are we empowered to grant permission for further use of any photographs.
Have a topic to suggest? We would love to hear about it! Please contact Thomas A. Guiler, Manager and Instructor in Academic Programs at Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library with comments and suggestions.
